Community Connections
At Falcon Enterprises, staff development is maintained to encourage the level and quality of service to individuals and fellow staff and connections with other agencies are important ways to accomplish these ends. Our development strives to uphold certain Standards of Interaction at the workplace.
Vitalize took place in Calgary, June 7 — 9, addressing the educational needs of Alberta’s voluntary sector through a cost-effective, value-added conference. Delegates from various agencies and municipalities were represented, providing a chance to meet and mingle with colleagues in the voluntary sector. In 2008, Vitalize took place in Edmonton at the Shaw Conference Centre June 12 — 14.
Our recent attempt to connect with other agencies, happened through P.D.D. A retreat took place from October 17 thru 19 at the Circle Square Ranch, featuring guest speaker David Irvine, who inspired many of us by introducing thought provoking ideas that fostered both self-reflection and lively, sometimes animated discussions. The hosts of our retreat, Bernie, Bernice and the hired staff facilitated many interesting and fun activities which provided many of us with new ideas to bring back to our agencies, in the event that we were daring enough to enjoy the activity or not.
